Today we went to Mount Rainier to day but we didn't see it. The whole mountain was covered by clouds. There was also about 12 feet of snow at the upper visitor center parking lot. Coming down there was a fox sitting by the side of the road. It was a female with a kit. The baby came up by the mother and I got some pictures of them both. Andy asked me when we were coming home. David has to work this coming Sat. so we will be home by Friday. Have to go now. TTFN BJ

Yet another wet and wooly weekend has passed. Soggy, squish, squish. We went to the garlic festival in a soggy field. It was fun and squishy. Today we saw a female bear with 3 cubs. I was out shooting, from a safe distance, and the bears walked down the road right by David in the car. One of the cubs put his front paws on the bumper to look in on David. The mother bear checked him out to. I shot quiet a few pictures using the long lense on the camera. I gave mom bear a lot of space to feel comphy in. We also saw the worlds longest beach. It was 25 miles long. It was also a beach that you realy don't go sun yourself on. Iteresting that in all the gift shops they have rain jackets, all weather jackets, sweatshirts, fleece jackets, but no swimming suites or suntan lotin. Hummmmm this could have meaning. TTFN BJ

We woke up to cold misty rain but the sun did make a showing in the afternoon. We saw Fort Clatsop, Maritime Museum, and ship wreck to day. David said to go to his blogspot at http://diltsgd.blogspot.com/ for infor0maition about the trip. I shot some really good pictures and only was slightly dampened by a wave while shooting the ship wreck. TTFN BJ

We have had sunshine all day long and no clouds. Wheeeeeeeee!!! It was awesome. We were in a town that had sea lions resting at the dock. It was very interesting how they interacted with each other. There was one sea lion that seemed intent on bothering all the other sleeping sea lions. The rain forest is still wet and then some. With lots of green growing things. We saw a really great lighthouse today and a tree that grew with 9 tree trunks going up from one tree root. We even went into a Riplies believe it or not museum talk about weird things. Hoping the sun still shines for a few days. TTFN BJ

Monday, June 7, 2010

Well it's the first day we have had the sun shine. Yah. No clouds all afternoon. Sun, sun beautiful sun. You would think that I was getting a little tired of the rain. We are in a little town in Oregon. David told me to wright down the name of the town but I can't remember it, We are staying at Harris Beach state Park tonight. It is in southern Oregon by the ocean. Look it up on a map. We have seen some really great museums aside from the mineral museum the are museum was the best. It was western art and it was great. Along with paintings it had sculpture, models, Indian art works. It also had a lot of arrowheads in artistic arrangements. David is back from his walk so I can tell you the name of the town, it's ummmmm Brookings Oregon. Now you know. Have to go now. TTFN BJ

We saw 12th Night last night at the Organ Shakespeare festival. It was really good, but very much an adult play. The actors were great. The nice thing was that we didn't get rained on during the play. If it does rain they go on with the play. They do advise you to bring rain gear, just not umbrellas. They rent out pillows, to sit on, and blankets to wrap up in. I had by thermals, wool sox, and other warm items on, with a little blanket, and I was still a bit cold. Ah how we suffer for art. Tee Hee. I hope that your a little bit jealous. Going to decide where to go next. TTFN BJ

Friday, June 4, 2010

Well it did stop raining, for a while at least. I have some interesting pictures of crater lake in the clouds. It was very cold with about 4 feet of snow on the ground. We are going to 12th night at a Shakespeare festival tonight. The sun actually came out for a while today. David is looking over my shoulder have to go now. TTFN BJ
