This is Minster Cathedral in York. There was first a roman fort, older cathedral that burnt down, and then they built the big cathedral, which is still here. You can take a tour of the basement and see all of the layers starting with the roman fort. If you ever go there you really need to go into the basement. Super cool. I know it's not your thing, but SO MANY of these English building shots would be just dazzling in black and white. You should alter it with Picasa and then re-post--maybe under the original?
