A Stoned Barn

One of the old barns. You can tell because it's made out of the same stones as the fences. Of course that's sort of the only stone around. TTFN BJ

Tagging

Do you see the sheep with the red bum? That's how some of the sheep are marked for ownership. They spray paint their bums. As you go around there are some with blue or green bums. It puts a new spin on tagging. TTFN BJ

Ah, spring time with the little lambs. You can also see how I was endlessly fascinated with the stone walls. TTFN BJ

The door from the garden. It's like the line between the stories and the mundane world. I think I'll stay in the garden a while longer. TTFN BJ

Where the Stories Happened

Behind the window on the right, was the room where Beatrix Potter wrote the Peter Rabbit Stories. She even has a garden, of course most of the people in England have gardens. Hummm. I guess that makes me a real desert rat, no garden. But my weeds are doing great. TTFN BJ

The grass is really green in England because it rains a lot. So here is a small field with the stone house at the end. TTFN BJ

Great Neighbors

I fell in love with all the stone walls they have in the area. There have been great neighbors for hundreds of years around here. This is the town where Beatrix Potter's home is. TTFN BJ

The back door's iron work is fantastic. And a tree that is considering its summer foliage. TTFN BJ

Beautiful Light

The church at the bottom of the hill has some really beautiful stained glass windows. You have a small church in a lot of British murder mysteries, this would have been a great setting. Maybe I read to many murder mystery books. Nah! TTFN BJ

Pick a cross, any cross. I love the old head stones in the church yards. They have personality and charm. TTFN BJ

New Road

The new road to the slate mine. Rah, Rah, a great road. I love it. TTFN BJ

Old Road

This is the old road up to the slate mine in the mountains. The mine is still there but they have a new road to the mine. TTFN BJ
